As a teacher, Dan attempts to draw on active learning and student-centered pedagogies. He enjoys when his students gain new insights of themselves, of concepts learned in class, and of the ways those concepts get integrated into their professional practice. On this page, Dan shares some of the teaching resources he has created or has found valuable in his work.
In Summer 2017, Dan created a set of public video chats with higher education scholars doing various types of research, including quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, and action research. All of these videos are available on YouTube on Dan's public channel (search for Dan4779). Below is the video recorded with Dr. D-L Stewart (Colorado State) and Dr. Z Nicolazzo (Northern Illinois) on culturally proficient educational research. These videos are available for educational purposes for instructors in educational research courses to use freely; Dan just asks for attribution in your course syllabus if you are using any of them.
